Get Google Reviews in 5 Easy Steps
5 star reviews help build trust in your business or organization. If you get a simple process in place, the results will be worth the effort.
Recently I had the opportunity to give a 5 Star Google Review to a business that did work for me. I was very happy with the service and took the steps to leave a review. I'm always happy to do this and know that reviews can make a big difference to a local company.
Many people rely on online reviews to make sure they get the best service possible. This article is written to make it easy for happy clients to easily give your business a 5 star review. If you don't have a Google Business listing here's a link to get you started.
Follow these 5 simples steps to start getting 5 Star Google reviews
Step 1
Search for your business in Google
If your registered with Google your business should pop up on the right side in the Google business box. If you haven't registered here is a link to get started.
Step 2
Click on “Write a Review”
Step 3
Copy the URL.
Step 4
You can shorten the URL so it’s a bit more user friendly. I just discovered that Google has discontinued their url shortener. But there's a free alternative. Go to https://app.bitly.com/ There you can set up a free account. This a short video to take you through the process of using the shortener.

Step 5
Here is a sample letter you can modify to send to your clients.
Hi [FIRST NAME],
Hope you’re doing well.
As a locally-owned business, our goal to provide the highest quality service and care deeply about how our work affects customers like you. We'd love if you could send us an email and tell us what we can do to better serve you next time.
As you may know, many people like you rely on online reviews to make sure they get the best service possible. It would really help me if you’d be willing to leave a quick review on Google for the recent [SPECIFIC] services from us. It should only take a moment if you click here [INSERT LINK YOU CREATED ABOVE].
